BarkBox Review

barkbox review

Are you always looking for new, great toys and treats to keep your dog happy? If so, you’ll likely be interested in a dog subscription box service, like BarkBox.

BarkBox is likely the most well known of all the subscription companies in this space and they’ve been doing it since 2011, so they have quite the history and experience!

Every month, BarkBox will send you a shoe-box sized package that will contain –

  • 2 dog toys
  • 2 packages of dog treats
  • 1 dog chew (edible treat)

BarkBox lets you create a profile for your pet and select their size – the ranges from 20 lbs and under, 20-50 lbs, and 50+ lbs. This will ensure that your dog gets the treats and toys that match their needs! Also worth noting, all the products in a BarkBox are made in the USA or Canada.

In the above photo, you can see the BarkBox we received in February of 2017 for a Large dog. Each box follows a theme, and our theme was “Pup in the Air!” – international travel. A puppy passport was included that was quite funny!

Here’s a look at everything that was in the box.

BarkBox Treats

Our BarkBox came with a duck chew, Healthy Dogma bacon biscuits, and some “Wafflers” which are dog treats shaped like waffles.

Our dogs can confirm these all taste excellent and went over great.

BarkBox Toys

The first toy we received is a rubber camera that was extremely strong, durable rubber.

This toy had two squeakers on either side of the camera, and a pocket to stuff treats in the middle to keep your dog entertained. This is definitely a great durable dog toy for strong chewers.

Our other toy we received was a “Stuffel Bag”. At first, I thought this bag unzipped to reveal something inside, but the bag is actually part of the toy itself.

The Stuffel Bag has two tennis balls inside of it and some crinkly plastic that gives audio stimulation to your dog when they play with it.

Kartoffel certainly approves! This toy also seems extremely durable and we see it lasting for quite some time.

Overall, we were very satisfied with out BarkBox. A BarkBox costs around $29 and ships every month. If you click our referral link here, you can get your first month free!
